Marona, who lost her parents when she was very young, makes her living by completing the requests inside the Bottlemails as a Chroma, a person who accepts freelance work to solve problems for people. Sometimes, Marona receives Bottlemails that float along the sea. On a small, lonely island in Ivoire lives Ash, a Phantom who lost his life in battle, and Marona, who has the ability to communicate with Phantoms. Putty later escapes again, this time on its own, and is found on Marona's island. Ringmaster Hamm then appears, claiming the monster to be his, and that it escaped his circus which first took it in.
When she retrieves Putty, it is revealed that Canary only wanted to capture it. She visits the first time to help a man named Canary find Putty, a rare monster gone loose. Marona visits this place three times in the game. Episode sixteen takes place in this building. It is implied that Castile's medicine comes from here. Ash mentions it is one of the three biggest companies in Ivoire.
The most notable feature of the city is the headquarters of the Bamboo Company, a medicine developer and distributer. This is the location at which the third episode takes place. The name is a blend between "money" and "utopia", implying a prosperous and pleasant city. Monetopia is the capital city of the world of Phantom Brave.
